No need to go any farther than to walk to WindMark Beach's Village Center for dinner. Enjoy a fabulous seafood meal in the casual atmosphere of Boon Docks restaurant overlooking St. Joseph Bay. Coastal Living magazine selected Boon Docks in its Top 25 restaurants for 2007 and 2009 and Southern Living magazine named Boon Docks its Favorite Seafood Dive in 2004.
If you would like to venture out, there are several restaurants in downtown Port St. Joe, about three miles south, or drive a bit farther, 27 miles east, to the historic fishing village of Apalachicola, which is famous for its Apalachicola oysters! Apalachicola harvests over 90 percent of the oysters sold in Florida and 10 percent of the nationwide supply.
State Parks
In addition to the nearly four miles of beautiful beach of WindMark Beach, St. George Island State Park and St. Joseph Peninsula State Park are 43 and 23 miles, respectively. St. George Island State Park is more than 2,000 acres and includes miles of undeveloped beach with the Gulf of Mexico on one side and Apalachicola Bay on the other. Two boat ramps provide access to Apalachicola Bay for anglers eager to get out on the water and try their luck.
St. Joseph Peninsula State Park's miles of white sugar sand beach make it one of the top-rated beaches in the United States. Birdwatchers will love to watch the antics of a variety of birds—over 240 species have been sighted in the park, which is a coastal barrier peninsula.
Boating and Fishing
Located on St. Joseph Bay, WindMark Beach is surrounded by exceptional boating and fishing opportunities for the whole family. The waters of St. Joseph Bay are designated as an Aquatic Preserve and are a vital birthplace, nursery and forage grounds for sea life, migratory birds and countless other species.

You're about as close as you can get to the grassy flats where speckled trout, redfish and tarpon hang out, or imagine being minutes away from some of the best off-shore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico.

Museums
Port St. Joe was once a busy trade port and in 1838 delegates of Territorial Florida gather here to draft the State Constitution. Visit Constitution Convention Museum State Park to enjoy a bit of state history.
Shopping
WindMark Beach's Village Center offers The Fuss Boutique, featuring womens' clothes and accessories as well as Pickles gift shop, offering unique and fun gifts. If you feel like stepping out, there's always something going on in and around the quaint town of Port St. Joe, which is three miles south of WindMark Beach. Reid Avenue is home to many specialty shops. Drive into historic Apalachicola, 28 miles east and browse through the unique galleries, stores and antique shops or enjoy a dozen of the famous Apalachicola oysters! Once the third-largest port on the Gulf of Mexico, Apalachicola has a diverse and colorful past that remains visible today. There are over 900 historic homes and buildings on the National Register.

Mark your Calendars to be at WindMark Beach during May to experience the Forgotten Coast Plein Air Paint-Out. "Plein Air", a French word, simply translated means "open air". A true plein air painting is done on location, capturing the atmosphere of the moment. Nationally recognized plein air artists are selected to capture the allure of the Forgotten Coast in paint and canvas. Artists paint on the beach, across the marsh, beside the lakes and throughout the streets of the Forgotten Coast.
